Here’s a commissioned piece that I just finished for my friend, screenwriter Eric Spudic, for a film he has in the works. The Goofball Squad. Looks like a classic bit of 80’s style, T&A comedy shenanigans if you ask me!

Finally, I am nearing completion on the SpiderBabe comic book. Only two pages of artwork left to complete before it can go off to press. There is lots of action in these final pages, as you can see. Not to mention a lot of, er…butts! Thought I’d post a sample for you to enjoy. Thanks and keep coming back for more news.

I’ve never been a big fan of change. It scares the HELL out of me, to be perfectly honest. I don’t even change my underwear unless absolutely necessary. So, these last couple of weeks that I’ve spent looking for a new job have been less than comforting. Not to be a downer, but being in radio has been such a big part of my life the last two decades that I’m not really sure what the future holds in store in me. I’ll tell you this much, looking for work has put a big cramp in my drawing time. I did manage to finally squeak out a cover for the forthcoming SpiderBabe comic book I’m working on for Alternative Cinema/Seduction Cinema. The two main figures you see, SpiderBabe and Femtilian, were penciled by none other than my buddy, Marvel/DC artist, Tom Nguyen. I did the rest of the penciling, inking, etc. Couldn’t resist putting some cartoon ducks in there and what not. It’s still going to be a few months before this is out, but keep checking back for more details.

I just thought I’d post a couple samples of the SpiderBabe comic book I’m working on for Seduction Cinema comics. This is the second comic I’ve done for them. The first was Play-Mate of the Apes. It’s coming along quite nicely so far and has been a real pleasure to work on. I’m hoping to be finished with all of the artwork by the end of September.

Pitching one’s product is such a tawdry business but I really should plug this comic again, seeing as it’s currently available for purchase. If you have yet to pick up a copy of my comic book adaptaion of Seduction Cinema’s Play-mate of the Apes, I’d highly recommend you do so now. Y’know, before they’re all GONE! Hell, pick up two! They’re currently available at comic book stores nationwide…that even includes here, in Fargo, ND. (Paradox, FM News, and Comic Junction, don’tcha know.) You can also order the comic along with the dvd at www.alternativecinema.com. It’s a steal, trust me.
I’d also like to proudly inform you that I am now working on my follow-up comic for Seduction Cinema Comics; a full-length comic book adaptation of SpiderBabe! Yes, another cinematic treat, featuring Misty Mundae, that you can currently catch playing on Showtime through 2014. I’m just a few pages in and already I can tell this book is going to be chock full of yucks, guffaws, bobbling buttocks, girls kissing girls, and MAD magazine style antics. Don’t like that sort of thing? Then I suggest that you go pick up a copy of Archie, ya’ freaking bum! Wait… I actually sort of like Archie. Scratch that. I may have to think some more on this issue. In the meantime, go pick up Play-mate of the Apes so I can buy some groceries. Thank you for your support.
Over the years, Robert Carradine has starred in several, over-the-top, T and A comedies. Beach romps, like 1976’s The Pom Pom Girls and college, fish-out-of-water stories like the Revenge of the Nerds movies. Leave it to those nuts at The Asylum to find the next logical step for Mr. Carradine…casting him as an alcoholic coach to a group of coeds from a small, conservative, college whose marching band is going to nationals. Lizzie McGuire’s dad would have never approved of this!
Billed as a “sexy comedy classic in the tradition of Road Trip and American Pie,” Bikini Spring Break’s bikini-clad protagonists manage to break out of their shells when their bus breaks down smack dab in the middle of Florida during spring break. Hold on to your beach balls! In one ill-fated attempt after another, the girls manage to lose their tops so often you’d think that they must be made out of defective fabric of some sort, as they try to raise funds to fix their dilapitated bus. While Coach Carradine takes his sweet-ass time driving cross-country to rescue his girls and whisk them away to the big marching band competition, the coed’s adventures lead them from a strip club to a jello wrestling event, a wet t-shirt contest…and even a mechanical bull riding competition that sends shirts and bras flying! The story moves briskly, the jokes are paced out nicely, and director Jared Cohn focuses his camera exactly where one would expect him to.
These poor girls don’t stand a chance as screenwriters Jared Cohn and Naomi Selfman have figured out every possible way to get them out of their clothes. If you’re looking for nudity and crude humor you certainly won’t be disappointed by popping in The Asylum’s latest, Bikini Spring Break. Check it out from those purveryors of big, bouncy, fun…The Asylum, of course!
