I got to thinking about some of the movie and television satires that I’ve done over the years for Larry Flynt Publishing. Here’s a few splash panels from some of my favorites. Please enjoy!

Well, it’s that time once again, folks! The latest issue of HUSTLER Humor is on newsstands now. Editor Bob Muleady has trotted out a copious cavalcade of filth that one can only expect to find in the sticky pages of HH. I’m quite proud to say that my parody of Glee made it into this issue, along with some props for Goof Roof in the mailbag section. Huzzah! Cartoonist extraordinaire, Aaron Warner knocks out an eye-catchingly, disturbing cover as well as a four-page cannibalistic comic titled Dr. Muncher and the Delicious Detective. If that hasn’t suckered you in, you’ll also find Dan Collins’ Ballad of Ironbox Roxy, Trosley’s Thunder Buns, and a classic Honey Hooker comic on disply. That said, the filthiest, funniest, jokes and gag cartoons will certainly please even the most fickle of adult humor fans. So run out to your nearest truck stop or adult bookstore and snag up a copy of the latest HUSTLER Humor so that they continue to keep paying me and plugging my website. Mmmmkay? Thanks.

Whenever I see HUSTLER magazine, which is still considered by many to be more explicit and more self-consciously lowbrow than it’s competitors Playboy and Penthouse, achieve that high watermark of another triumphant year as America’s number one adult magazine I get a big old lump in my…ahem, throat!
The July 2011 issue, which is just arriving on newsstands this week, marks the 37th Anniversary of the magazine. Not only is this a watershed moment for Larry Flynt’s flagship publication since 1974, but it’s the first time I’ve ever attempted chronicling such a significant moment in history. My 3-page comic, The Rise of the Hustler Empire, is featured in this issue. It’s the illustrated story of young Larry Flynt, how he has taken on his detractors and, in most cases, beaten them. Not only are there a lot of swell-looking girls to look at in this issue, but you’ll also find a great article on Piranha 3d’s Riley Steele and an excerpt from Larry Flynt’s new book about White House sexcapades, One Nation Under Sex. I’d like to recommend picking up a copy of the 37th Anniversary issue next time you’re at your local truck stop, magazine rack or adult book store. Hell! Do what I do and pick up two!

I’m a real sucker when it comes to those SyFy Channel Original Movies… especially ones that feature freakishly-mutated sharks. Recently, Roger Corman himself produced a SyFy original about an 8-tentacled eating machine called Sharktopus. While it’s no Mega Shark, or Mega Python vs Gatoroid for that matter, it is definitely an apex moment in SyFy’s history! I thought it was about time one of these movies got the HUSTLER Humor parody treatment. And so, with the assistance of my demented writing associate Kit Lively, I set to work on Sharktopussy! Now, ordinarily I can find at least one PG panel from my comics that I can post on the Goof Roof website without blushing, but apparently this one is so filthy the best I can deliver is the splash-panel, which I STILL needed to censor because of a bared nipple! Tsk tsk…naughty-naughty! Check out Judd Hirsch with the clipboard. Anyhoo, be looking for Sharktopussy in an upcoming issue of HUSTLER Humor. I’ll keep you posted so you won’t be on fins and needles.
Huzzah! The new Captain America movie is slated to come out this July and I’m already making a nice dent in the parody I’m working on for HUSTLER magazine. This won’t see newsstands until this summer but here’s a sneak peek to wet your whistle. Excelsior…or some crap like that!

I know Spring doesn’t officially start until March 20th but I’ll be damned if the new HUSTLER Humor doesn’t make me feel tingly all over! That sweet-ass Tom Simonton’s retrotastic Conan cover is a great place to start. Note that I’m saying the artwork on the cover is sweet-ass and not that Tom Simonton has a sweet ass…I don’t know him well enough to make that sort of judgement. This issue contains a classic Honey Hooker piece by Tom Garst and Bruce Helford, in addition to some great gag ‘toons by Bob Muleady, John Billette, Dan Collins, George Trosley and George Winners. Also, my Big Bang Theory parody finally made it in. A must-read, and I’m not just saying that because it’s mine. Okay, actually I am.

There’s top notch jokes, as you’ll find in every ish of HUSTLER Humor, and Aaron Warner has the first installment of a hilarious new cartoon feature titled June Cleavage and The Beaver that looks very promising. Oh, and there’s a great sampling of Drew Friedman’s new book, Too Soon? Drew Friedman is an amazing artist and this sampling alone makes picking up HH Vol.33, no.1 worth it! Oh, and I may have neglected to mention that there’s lots of pictures of naked women in this issue! Now, go get it!!
