• Well, hey there! My name is Noel Anderson. I have an insatiable love of B-movies and blame much of who I am upon their influence! As a regular contributor to HUSTLER and HUSTLER HUMOR magazines, I’ve had plenty of opportunity to spread my own special brand of cartoon filth and debauchery in the print medium. Goof Roof is my epic foray into cyberspace. I’ve illustrated and written for numerous humor publications such as CRACKED, JOKESTER, and THWAK magazines. I’ve also developed characters for the National Kids Construction Club and designed logos for several businesses. I’ve worked as a radio personality (and continue to do so) for well over a decade in good ol’ Fargo, ND and enjoy creating musical and audio parodies in addition to my comic satires. So, go on…what are you waiting for? Check out the gallery and enjoy everything that’s goofy under one roof. Indeed, that’s why we’re here, my friends! Need to get a hold of me?

Coming Soon…the STAG mag!

Posted by Scotch on April 13th, 2010

stagspring2 Just a quick heads up for you…a new Scotch, Tank and Ginger PREMIUM will soon be floating your way, especially if you’re a ROCK 102 listener. The STAG Spring Splash debut issue will soon be completed and given away on air, at events, and may even crop up in public lavatories. The latter being the most appropriate place for this rag! This mini-mag will be illustrated by yours truly and will contain additional material provided by my partners in crime, Tank and Ginger. Don’t expect too much though, it will essentially be the same kind of crap you hear every morning from 5:30 to 9am on Rock 102! It’s sort of like the comic book version of our radio show. Well, that’s all for now, donkeys! More details to come! We now return you to your regularly scheduled website.

Shut Up and Listen Already!

hog I’ve been trying very hard to keep the ol’ creativity flowing despite some very sad and unsettling events that have been going on with my family. Like that old song says, “Gray skies are gonna’ clear up,” so I’m trying to stay hopeful and optimistic. After all, if you can’t trust Tony Bennett who can you trust? This is a sign I drew for a promotion that was done while I was working at The Fox many years ago. I’ve modified it with a cartoony-graffiti border done in marker and had some fun with acryllic paint as you can see!

A Twist on the Mist?

Posted by Scotch on November 29th, 2009

jag21 A lot of times I feel like it doesn’t matter how often I update this site. Heck! I figure only a very small number of people stumble upon this web page and then it’s probably by accident after Googling a roofing company. If that is you, than I assure you, good sir, this is NOT the website of a roofing contractor. As it turns out, I receive numerous e-mails asking me why I haven’t been updating more regularly! What?! You don’t think I have stuff to talk about?! Why you, I oughta….I have several things cooking right now. The comic book cover art you see to the left for SPACE JAGUAR will be appearing in an upcoming Fred Olen Ray film that I’m not allowed to discuss at the moment. But feel free to feast your eyes upon it.
I’m also working on a character that will soon be appearing locally in an animated television commercial. I’ll be doing the artwork for the commercial as well…sort of a Schoolhouse Rock type of thing. Pretty cool, actually. I wish I could say it’s my idea but somebody else is behind it, I’m just doing the drawing! Aside from that, I’m still plugging away on the Chernobyl Cheerleaders book, that much like Gross Gags will be done in b&w with the exception of the cover. I’ve been posting some samples from it in previous posts you may have noticed. cover
My buddy Herb noticed! He contacted me and asked…”What’s with the b&w thing? Is that new? Let’s put a twist on the mist.” I have no idea what the hell that means to be perfectly honest, but I like it. Let’s put a twist on the mist…hmmm. The b&w thing is actually just because I’m too broke to publish a full-color book so black and white interiors is as good as it gets, bub! Incidentally, the new book, GROSS GAGS, is now available for purchase and is very affordable at $8 bucks! Shoot me an e-mail if you’re interested in buying a copy or two. scotch987@hotmail.com They turned out great! Oh, and here’s one more quickie for you. Artwork that’s appearing on this year’s KFGO Tom and Larry Christmas mugs! Enjoy. I drew that smirk on Tom, special just for him! -Noel

Radio meets art once again!

Posted by Scotch on June 23rd, 2009

Hey, here’s a couple of art pieces I did for work. A caricature of Joel Heitkamp for the ‘Joel’s Jigs’ packaging. Yes, Mr. Heitkamp has his own fishing lures. Also artwork for a new BOB tattoo based on the BOB Muzik tv ad. That’s all for now.

Radio, Art, and Why I Suck!

Posted by Scotch on February 7th, 2009

valentine.jpg Well, there’s many reasons why I suck…ahem! But let’s get to that later. There’s one heck of a week ahead! First of all, we finally get to start unloading the all new “Scotch, Tank, and Ginger’s Valentine’s Recipes for Morons” books on Rock 102! We even got Terry Spies and DZL (pronounced Diesel) to contribute…although, I wouldn’t advise consuming the DZL FUEL. Ugh, you’ve been warned. land.jpg
Next, I’ve been doing an awful lot of drawing recently. The good news is the KILLVERINE X-men parody I was working on for HUSTLER Humor got accepted into HUSTLER proper (the main mag) which means more moolah. Unfortunately, that also leaves me scrambling to create a replacement piece for HH. I opted to do the forthcoming LAND OF THE LOST movie that Will Ferrell is starring in. It’s turning out pretty good if I must say so myself. Have a look-see to the right over there! I’ve always been such a fan of the old Saturday Morning Krofft shows like Land of the Lost, HR Pufnstuf, Lidsville and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. It’s fun that they’re finally doing a big screen adaptation of Land of the Lost.
Now, why I suck. I submitted a comic to HEAVY METAL and it took so long to hear back from them that I also submitted it to HUSTLER Humor. After in ran in HH I finally heard back from HEAVY METAL…they’d like to run it, but seeing as it was
jason1.jpg published recently they can’t use it. Sigh, so much for getting into HEAVY METAL! Well, back to the drawing board. At the very least I have the new theatrical release of FRIDAY THE 13th to look forward to this week. That’s the movie Mrs. Scotch and I are going to for our Anniversary. There’s nothing quite like spending 15 years with someone who someone who enjoys watching the same cinematic crap as you do! Gawd, I love that woman! Well, that’s all for now. As Commander USA used to say, “Keep your nose in the air and your tail out of the wind.”
