• Hey there, lovers of fine art! My name is Noel Anderson but folks generally call me Scotch. I have an insatiable love of B-movies and blame much of who I am upon their influence. I've been a cartoonist for many years and Goof Roof continues to be my toehold in cyberspace. I’ve illustrated and written for numerous humor publications such as CRACKED, HUSTLER and HUSTLER HUMOR, JOKESTER, and THWAK magazines. Seduction Cinema Comics Group published my comic books, Play-Mate of the Apes and SpiderBabe. I worked as a radio personality for close to two decades in good ol’ Fargo, ND and enjoy creating musical and audio parodies in addition to my comic satires, and I'm currently co-editing a magazine called ART RIOT. So, go on… what are you waiting for? Check out the gallery and enjoy everything that’s goofy under one roof. Indeed, that’s why we’re here, my friends! Need to get a hold of me.?

‘Chainsaw Hookers’ comic nearly done!

Well, good news! I’m finishing up the last two pages of the ‘Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers’ comic book for Fred over at Retromedia! Patience is a virtue, y’know and all involved have been quite patient. Slowly, I’ve been plodding along on this project throughout the course of the last year or so, working on it whenever I get the rare opportunity. I’m being quite tenacious in my work ethic right now, however, seeing as I’m illustrating my favorite part of the movie; the big chainsaw duel between Linnea Quigley’s character and Michelle Bauer’s character! Hot dog, that’s an awesome scene! One of my favorites from the era of 80’s exploitative cinema so I’m puting some real effort into it. Soon I’ll be finished with these last couple of pages and then we’ll go from there. I’ll keep you posted. Meanwhile here’s a couple of panels to satiate your b-movie appetite!

Nicole Sheridan…Not too shabby, eh?

Posted by Scotch on January 18th, 2007

sherida2.jpg Whew! Just look at that big, stupid smile on my face! Why shouldn’t I be smiling, huh? I’m drooling all over actress Nicole Sheridan, who has graced the screen in such epics as Bikini Chain Gang, Bikini Round-Up, and the undisputed epic…Bikini Girls From The Lost Planet! She stopped by the studio today to plug an appearance at ‘The Northern’ and was kind enough to pose for a couple of pics with this big, pale norwegian idiot! Huzzah!sheridan01.jpg

Evil Toons in the afternoon!

I was goofing around in my sketchbook yesterday afternoon and this sort of just got away from me, so I decided to fully flesh it out! I rarely get to draw ‘just-for-fun’ these days, so this was very inspirational once it started going somewhere. I think it could make a real nifty back cover for the “Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers” comic book I’m working on for Retromedia, or maybe this is a good springboard for another comic book entirely. This was a great flick with David Carradine, Arte Johnson, Dick Miller and Monique Gabrielle. I’ve probably watched the thing twenty or thirty times. There was only one animated monster in the original movie, however without animation budget restraints to worry about, there could be an endless cavalcade of ghoulish toons the girls could face off with in a comic book version! Anyway, I like how it turned out so I thought I’d post it just for a goof!

“King of Queens” Eats a Bullet!

When you freelance for an ‘adult publication’ that isn’t exactly known for it’s tact, it can really catch you off guard when you’re asked to change something due to it being distasteful. It sounds like my four-page parody of CBS’s “King Of Queens” series finale will still make it into the magazine…however, a couple of offending panels needed to be altered as they were deemed a bit too “mean-spirited” by the features editor. Oh, and believe me, they most certainly WERE! Heh-heh-heh. One of those panels is the one you see here with Kevin James swallowing a bullet, much to the delight of Jerry Stiller. Fortunately, the edits didn’t take long, and let’s be honest…even though I think it’s funny, I’m not opposed to a little compromise, especially when a paycheck is in question! So much for artistic integrity, eh? I’ll keep you posted as to when this ‘art’ goes to press!

Happy New Year!

Posted by Scotch on January 1st, 2007

2007 is here! Lookee, lookee…New Year’s Day and I don’t even have a hangover. Apparently, part of growing older is learning not to overindulge quite as much as in my decadent youth. Who knew?

Speaking of decadent, I’ve been plugging away on a couple of projects for LFP for the new year. My take on “My Name is Earl” is coming along a tad slower than I’d hoped it would. Ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration. I like how the artwork is turning out, but the jokes and storyline are less than stellar at this point. In addition to the ‘Earl’ piece, I’m a page shy of finishing up a four-page “King Of Queens” parody that I have a little bit more faith in! Probably because it’s the more inane of the two shows and therefore easier to make fun of.

Also, ‘King of Queens’ is in it’s final season so I feel like a can take a few more liberties with it. It’s rather enjoyable drawing panel after panel of Leah Remini. Not to mention Jerry Stiller…would ya’ look at that likeness of Jerry Stiller there! Is that a thing of beauty or what? Ah, well…in the end it’s just smut, eh? With the way television is lately, I just hope these comics make it to press before these shows get cancelled or something. The networks are pretty quick to pull shows off their schedule without so much as a warning these days! Well, happy new year to ya’ and hopefully there’s lots more to come!
