The 20th Anniversary release of “Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers” on dvd is just around the corner, boys and ghouls…August 5th, from what I’ve heard. A true, trashy, treasure from director Fred Olen Ray about a cute young runaway whose jump into the Hollywood prostitution racket lands her in the middle of a demonic chainsaw death-cult, presided over by Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s “Leatherface,” Gunnar Hansen. In honor of this cinematic landmark, I give you more panels from my Retromedia comic book adaptation. (Er…release date pending.)

Never let it be said that I’m above doing a little artwork for the almighty dollar, friends. This recent doodle, my fourth for Rock 102’s sister station BOB 95 FM, is now available as a colorful tattoo! It’s inspired by the most recent wave of irritatingly catchy television commercials for said radio station. Pick one up, slap it on and get intimate with a relative! That is all, over and out!

I suppose I’m going to start sounding like a broken record, prattling on about this kid’s comic book project. Kee-ripes! I’ve been spending so much time drawing on this thing that I’m dangerously at risk of receiving a fatal carpal tunnel injury. (Maybe even more so than Donald Trump is from making that “You’re Fired” hand gesture.) So, I figured it was time for another update. Here’s one of the latest pages featuring a handful of Maniacal Mutant Monsters from Minnesota. I’m really trying to do this right! I have to figure out the right way to publish this thing and not totally “eat it” financially, y’know? I’m talking to a few people who are in-the-know and hopefully I’ll have it all figured out and printed by the end of the summer. Soon the Maniacal Mutant Monsters will leave their mark like a Martha Stewart prison tattoo!
