• Hey there, lovers of fine art! My name is Noel Anderson but folks generally call me Scotch. I have an insatiable love of B-movies and blame much of who I am upon their influence. I've been a cartoonist for many years and Goof Roof continues to be my toehold in cyberspace. I’ve illustrated and written for numerous humor publications such as CRACKED, HUSTLER and HUSTLER HUMOR, JOKESTER, and THWAK magazines. Seduction Cinema Comics Group published my comic books, Play-Mate of the Apes and SpiderBabe. I worked as a radio personality for close to two decades in good ol’ Fargo, ND and enjoy creating musical and audio parodies in addition to my comic satires, and I'm currently co-editing a magazine called ART RIOT. So, go on… what are you waiting for? Check out the gallery and enjoy everything that’s goofy under one roof. Indeed, that’s why we’re here, my friends! Need to get a hold of me.?

Boy Scouts, HUSTLER and Zombie Strippers!

Posted by Scotch on January 24th, 2009

stan.jpg Whooeee! It’s been a big weekend at the Casa de Scotch here in Hawley-weird! We had some friends over on Friday night (The Ludwigs if you must know) and finished construction on my son’s pinewood derby car for Boy Scouts. Saturday was race day and my boy took first place in his division and third overall! The Hawley Community Building was practically on fire with hot racing action, bruthah!!

I spent the rest of Saturday finishing off the final art for my “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” parody for HUSTLER Humor! I’m relieved to finally have it finished…which leads me to something I need to get off of my chest! I recently was reprimanded by a fellow artist who told me that I should be ashamed for using my God-given artistic talents to draw what he deemed to be offensive and only appealing to the prurient interests! He even went so far as to call HUSTLER Humor EVIL!! In my defense, I think that’s rather short-sighted. I freelance for LFP and the parodies I do for them are written by me. I can safely say that they’re no more evil than anything you’d find in MAD Magazine. Sure, they’re a bit more graphic, but that’s kind of the point of an adult humor magazine. I’m not going to dignify the accusation with any further discussion here but I just thought I should say HUSTLER Humor is quite the opposite of evil, it represents a freedom that we all share in this country.
zombie.jpg With that said, I doubt the guy I’m talking about would approve of the totally awesome movie I watched the other night either! If you haven’t seen ZOMBIE STRIPPERS, I’d like to tell you it’s well worth 90 minutes of your time. It is a horror comedy about zombified strippers that features references to a number of philosophers, including Camus and Sartre, but really it’s silly and a heck of a good time. Although, be warned it is extremely gory. Even more so than I’m used to…oh yeah, and there’s a lot of skin on display as well! Go figure! I’ll leave you with this rather unflattering panel featuring a caricature of yours truly to remind my fellow-judgemental-cartoonist friend that ‘comic spoofs’ are only ‘comic spoofs’ and if that’s evil then you can slap my butt and call me Nelly! Later Gator! stoned.jpg

2009 Already Kicking Heiny! Am I Right? You Betcha!

monster4.jpg Bacchi Balls! We’re only halfway into January, gang, and I have to say that 2009 is officially the bomb! What I’m most grateful for at this point in the year are my two, totally ridiculous morning show partners Tank and Ginger; two spirited knuckleheads who appreciate immature, flatulence humor even more than I do. Tank for his hard-rocking leg kicks and Ginger for introducing me to one of my new, most favorite movies…FM! A radio epic from the 1970’s featuring Martin Mull.

mybloodyvalentine3d-1.jpg Also, in the running to be my favorite for 2009…My Bloody Valentine 3D!

We’re going to see this baby on Friday and I can’t wait. The only movie I expect to exceed my expectations more-so is the new FRIDAY THE 13th that opens in February. But ‘Valentine’ will be the perfect lead-in to the weekend. It’s been a busy week at ROCK 102 what with all of the AC/DC ticket giveaways….relaxing with a good 3D slasher will be a nice sorbet to cleanse the pallet before Saturdays concert! Okay, gotta run. We’ll talk more later!

Whacko Wabbit is a Rabbit!

Posted by Scotch on January 9th, 2009

It’s a sad-but-true fact that it’s a HECK (pardon my French) of a lot easier to get adult content published than a kid’s book! Why is that? Not that I don’t enjoy producing the ‘blue’ stuff, however I’ve kicked out quite a bit of kid friendly material over the years and have found that it’s nearly impossible to get it looked at without a literary agent…and I don’t even know how to get one of those! Anyhoo, these images are from a book that I started on several years ago called “Whacko Wabbit is a Rabbit” and there it sits with my “Maniacal Mutant Monsters from Minnesota” artwork…unseen by the public. UNTIL NOW!! Dum-dum-dummmm! Here’s the first five pages. Enjoy!

The sad part is the files for the remaining pages weren’t saved to disc and got wrecked, but I do have the line art so I could easily re-color and complete this. Sigh, maybe one day.

Wolvie, Beserker Style…Snikkety-Snik!

killverine.jpg Well, one good thing has come out of all this friggin’ snow we’ve been getting! It’s forced me to take some time to work on some of my drawing assignments. Apparently, I ain’t getting out of my driveway this weekend so I’ve been working on the ’splash page’ for the X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE parody I’m working on for HUSTLER Humor. The censored bars obviously aren’t there on the finished copy…just trying to keep it PG, y’know. Anywhoo, I have a lot more work ahead of me but I just thought I’d share. Back to the sketchbook!

A Goofy New Year!

Posted by Scotch on January 1st, 2009

hallicon1.jpg 2009 is here and I gotta say, despite drinking a bit too much of the Evan Williams (the best bargain basement knock-off of Jack Daniels money can buy) I came out on ‘this side’ of New Year’s Eve with nary a hangover! How freakin’ sweet is that, huh? I don’t have a whole heckuva lot to post but figured I couldn’t let the first of the year go by without acknowledging it here on Goof Roof. Let’s see, what should my New Year’s resolution be? speedlimit.jpg How about I resolve to watch my speeding in the forthcoming year? (Couldn’t pass it up with such a great photo graphic!) Anyhoo, I hope everyone had a great New Year’s Eve! My first art project for the new year is a parody of the forthcoming X-MEN:WOLVERINE movie that I just started inking. It’s going to be in a ‘very special’ HUSTLER HUMOR issue that I can’t really say anything about just yet…but I’m very excited about it. So far the art on the Wolverine piece is turning out just peachy and is a tad nastier than what I usually do but I’m told that’s what sends those copies flying off the shelves at your local adult bookstores and seedy truckstops! I’ll get some of that art posted soon. Oh, and the new GOOSEPOOP is in the works too! poop.jpg
