• Hey there, lovers of fine art! My name is Noel Anderson but folks generally call me Scotch. I have an insatiable love of B-movies and blame much of who I am upon their influence. I've been a cartoonist for many years and Goof Roof continues to be my toehold in cyberspace. I’ve illustrated and written for numerous humor publications such as CRACKED, HUSTLER and HUSTLER HUMOR, JOKESTER, and THWAK magazines. Seduction Cinema Comics Group published my comic books, Play-Mate of the Apes and SpiderBabe. I worked as a radio personality for close to two decades in good ol’ Fargo, ND and enjoy creating musical and audio parodies in addition to my comic satires, and I'm currently co-editing a magazine called ART RIOT. So, go on… what are you waiting for? Check out the gallery and enjoy everything that’s goofy under one roof. Indeed, that’s why we’re here, my friends! Need to get a hold of me.?

Alright, let’s be honest…I’m not getting rich doing this! I just like to draw. That doesn’t mean, however, that I wouldn’t like to see a little scratch for my efforts. The current issue of HUSTLER features the 4-page Ultimate Vampire Movie parody I wrote and illustrated. It’s technically the June issue; I just got my copy in the mail so it should be on newsstands within the next week. Below is GROSS GAGS, which you can purchase in the adult-section at FM NEWS here in Fargo. They’re in that K-mart plaza on University. If you’ve never been there before they’ve got an awesome collection of comics and magazines. I get all my copies of Fangoria and Rue Morgue there.

Contact me at scotch987@hotmail.com for purchase information and I’ll get you all hooked up. There are several other things in the works right now at Goof Roof, including some artwork for an animated television commercial and a forthcoming Fred Olen Ray film called Turbulent Skies. I’m also going to be doing some artwork for a new Richard Griffin film called Atomic Brain Invasion. Keep checking back here at the Goof Roof website for more updates. Oh, and here’s a really cool lobby card for Richard Griffin’s Atomic Brain Invasion. Check it out!

Alternative Cinema Podcast

cinema02 I’ve been experimenting with caricatures again, so I thought I might as well knock out a drawing of the hosts of my favorite online podcast, Mike Raso and John Fedele from Alternative Cinema.com. As a faithful listener of the AC Podcast, I was thrilled to hear them give Goof Roof a plug this last time out. If you wanna check out some dynamite horror, exploitation, or just hard-to-find-cult movies on dvd, I strongly recommend checking out their site.

Shut Up and Listen Already!

hog I’ve been trying very hard to keep the ol’ creativity flowing despite some very sad and unsettling events that have been going on with my family. Like that old song says, “Gray skies are gonna’ clear up,” so I’m trying to stay hopeful and optimistic. After all, if you can’t trust Tony Bennett who can you trust? This is a sign I drew for a promotion that was done while I was working at The Fox many years ago. I’ve modified it with a cartoony-graffiti border done in marker and had some fun with acryllic paint as you can see!

Hot Rods and Eyeballs

I have seriously been neglecting my cartooning in lieu of painting, but I’ve been having a blast. I just finished this in acryllic, ink and colored pencil. I really love those old Ed “Big Daddy” Roth drawings of Rat Fink and those nasty, flame-spitting hot rods. I’ve also accepted the fact that, dammit, I like drawing eyeballs! So why should I deny my passion, eh? Why not just paint one of those big, ugly, suckers smack dab in the middle of the canvas and go from there? Hot Rods and Eyeballs! It turned out a tad busy for my tastes with that abstract background, but lesson learned for next time. Close enough for rock and roll! Back to the cartoons!
