• Hey there, lovers of fine art! My name is Noel Anderson but folks generally call me Scotch. I have an insatiable love of B-movies and blame much of who I am upon their influence. I've been a cartoonist for many years and Goof Roof continues to be my toehold in cyberspace. I’ve illustrated and written for numerous humor publications such as CRACKED, HUSTLER and HUSTLER HUMOR, JOKESTER, and THWAK magazines. Seduction Cinema Comics Group published my comic books, Play-Mate of the Apes and SpiderBabe. I worked as a radio personality for close to two decades in good ol’ Fargo, ND and enjoy creating musical and audio parodies in addition to my comic satires, and I'm currently co-editing a magazine called ART RIOT. So, go on… what are you waiting for? Check out the gallery and enjoy everything that’s goofy under one roof. Indeed, that’s why we’re here, my friends! Need to get a hold of me.?

Comic artist rockstars!

Comic artist rockstars!

noelconWell, honk my hooter! ValleyCon 36 is over and what a great time it was. Great speakers, panel discussions, and vendors hocking comicbooks, cult dvds, and assorted swords and weaponry. All of this chicanery went down at the Doublewood Inn in Fargo, incidentally, where I got to hang out with fellow cartoonists Brad Thingvold, Joel “Mojo” Moen, and Tom Nguyen. We even did a comics panel together. Good times, my fellow nerds, good times. X Files’ Dean Haglund treated us all to a hilarious improv-style stand-up show on Saturday. Thanks again to Tony Tilton for all of the fine hospitality.

Fall Hustler Humor Out Now!

Posted by Scotch on October 13th, 2010

fallhumor The smell of Fall is once again hanging in the air like the odor of a pungent fart in church. For those of you who are familiar with America’s Funniest Humor magazine, you realize that it’s time to grab up the latest copy of HUSTLER Humor! That’s right…I am such a fan that I’m pimping the mag, regardless of the fact that I didn’t make deadline and am not in this issue! Don’t, however, let that prevent you from enjoying what this fine yock rag has to offer this time around! Muleady, Trosley, Collins, and Billette consistently churn out some of the funniest and filthiest cartoon gags you could ever imagine! Muleady, incidentally, gets the honor of having the sickest caroon of all time in this issue. (It’s on page 44 for those of you who plan on picking it up!) And Aaron Warner really delivers the goods, as he always does, with an Avatar parody that’s part photo-funny and features a very hot, very real, blue chick incorporated into the comic. I’ve probably mentioned this before, but I am a huge Aaron Warner fan. That guy just nails it every time! Of course, George Winners has some great stuff in this issue as usual and there’s even a classic Honey Hooker piece to boot…and who doesn’t enjoy a piece of Honey Hooker, eh? There you have it perverts…the Fall 2010 issue of Hustler Humor is on newsstands as we speak! Go pick it up now or regret it for the rest of your life! Now I gotta go get busy cartooning so I can get something into the next issue, sigh.

Halloween Movie Tips: The Eighties

I should point out right off the bat I didn’t draw that picture up top. Pretty sweet though, ain’t it? I don’t know who did the original illustration but it’s Linnea Quigley as Trash in Return of the Living Dead…one of the greatest horror flicks of the eighties! Anyhoo, I’ve never been accused of having good taste, especially when it comes to movies. However, I was watching Sleepaway Camp 3 last night and realized why the eighties is my favorite era for horror flicks. I’m not going to say there weren’t some awesome horror flicks to come out of the seventies, but they’re just a little grittier and more mean-spirited…y’know, your flicks like Last House on the Left and I Spit on Your Grave. The eighties stuff we were renting on vhs back in the day had seemed to have a more enjoyable vibe and more importantly…a synth score. Movies like Toxic Avenger and Chopping Mall benefit greatly from that cheezy eighties synth, don’t they? With that said, here’s my continuing list of movies to rent throughout the month of October as you prepare for Halloween. The bulk of which are eighties classics:

Sleepaway Camp 1-3

Re-Animator

Trick or Treat

Chopping Mall

Slumber Party Massacre 1-3

Sorority House Massacre 2

976-Evil

Critters

Mother’s Day

Graduation Day

Witchboard

Friday the 13th

Nightmare on Elm Street

Evil Dead 2

Night of the Creeps

Return of the Living Dead

Halloween 1,2,4 and 5 (I’d skip three if I were you!)
