• Hey there, lovers of fine art! My name is Noel Anderson but folks generally call me Scotch. I have an insatiable love of B-movies and blame much of who I am upon their influence. I've been a cartoonist for many years and Goof Roof continues to be my toehold in cyberspace. I’ve illustrated and written for numerous humor publications such as CRACKED, HUSTLER and HUSTLER HUMOR, JOKESTER, and THWAK magazines. Seduction Cinema Comics Group published my comic books, Play-Mate of the Apes and SpiderBabe. I worked as a radio personality for close to two decades in good ol’ Fargo, ND and enjoy creating musical and audio parodies in addition to my comic satires, and I'm currently co-editing a magazine called ART RIOT. So, go on… what are you waiting for? Check out the gallery and enjoy everything that’s goofy under one roof. Indeed, that’s why we’re here, my friends! Need to get a hold of me.?

Almighty Thor dvd review

Posted by Scotch on May 31st, 2011

thorBefore we get started here lets just get one thing straight…this is NOT the bloated, big-budgeted, theatrical version of Thor that we’re about to talk about here. Christopher Douglas-Olen Ray, fresh off his directing duties on Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus is at the helm here and much like his father, the great Fred Olen Ray, Chris delivers consistent B-movie fun time and time again. Almighty Thor tells the tale of a young and naive Thor avenging his father Odin (Kevin Nash), who was killed by Loki, played by Richard Grieco. That’s right, Richard Grieco, bitches. Detective Dennis Booker from 21 Jump Street and damn proud of it! The evil trickster himself wants the infamous hammer that you’ve seen Thor wielding in those Marvel comic books for oh-so-many years. Who wouldn’t, right? Grieco walks around kicking all sorts of butt with his huge-ass, nasty, hounds of hell…or whatever they are, and rocking a powdery white face and black spiky leather outfit that even Marilyn Manson would be envious of. The visual effects were quite stellar for a Syfy channel movie. Color me very impressed!

Now, I’ve become quite an aficionado of the mockbuster in recent years and frankly, I love them. There may be some out there that have a difficult time understanding why someone would prefer to see a cheap knockoff as opposed to the big budget equivalent. The truth is there’s room for both. I can enjoy my Tang as well as my Park instant breakfast drink, can’t I? Sure, maybe The Snorks were no Smurfs but they served a purpose in that Saturday morning time slot…much the same way that Snakes on a Train holds as equally valued a place on my video shelf as Snakes on a Plane.

In our mockbuster, Almighty Thor, Cody Deal plays sort of an inept Thor. But at this stage of the game he is supposed to be inept! Thor can’t fight for crap and Jarnsaxa (Patricia Velasquez) tells him over and over again that he can’t! But does Thor care? Noooo! He can’t beat Loki and yet he continually goes back for more and Richard Grieco just hands his ass to him. Does he beat Loki in the end? Well, I guess one would have to pick up a copy of Almighty Thor on dvd and find out for oneself, now wouldn’t one? Find it at The Asylum or keep your eyes peeled for reruns on Syfy!

Lon Chaney on Keytar!

Posted by Scotch on May 30th, 2011

Here’s something monstrous…Lon Chaney playing the keytar! I wanted to draw something wacky featuring one of the Universal Monsters and for some reason this just felt right. Heh-heh! Can’t take credit for the background though.

Howzabout a nice suckerpunch?!

Posted by Scotch on May 25th, 2011

Hadn’t done anything for a while so I worked this up in my sketchbook tonight and decided to add a little color to it. Looks like ol’ Johnny Knuckles is really giving that poor slob a good clop in the chops, eh? Pretty goofy I guess. I’ve been reading this new book I just purchased called Graffiti World that’s filled with tons of street art from five continents. Very inspiring! Makes me want to draw just for the sake of drawing again!

Glee Parody in New Hustler Humor

Posted by Scotch on May 5th, 2011

glee1
humor Well, it’s that time once again, folks! The latest issue of HUSTLER Humor is on newsstands now. Editor Bob Muleady has trotted out a copious cavalcade of filth that one can only expect to find in the sticky pages of HH. I’m quite proud to say that my parody of Glee made it into this issue, along with some props for Goof Roof in the mailbag section. Huzzah! Cartoonist extraordinaire, Aaron Warner knocks out an eye-catchingly, disturbing cover as well as a four-page cannibalistic comic titled Dr. Muncher and the Delicious Detective. If that hasn’t suckered you in, you’ll also find Dan Collins’ Ballad of Ironbox Roxy, Trosley’s Thunder Buns, and a classic Honey Hooker comic on disply. That said, the filthiest, funniest, jokes and gag cartoons will certainly please even the most fickle of adult humor fans. So run out to your nearest truck stop or adult bookstore and snag up a copy of the latest HUSTLER Humor so that they continue to keep paying me and plugging my website. Mmmmkay? Thanks.

200 MPH Dvd Review

Posted by Scotch on May 5th, 2011

200mph
With the fifth installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise in theaters, comparisons are going to be inevitable when discussing The Asylum’s latest, 200mph. From the get-go, director Cole S. McKay unleashes a high-octane, albeit smaller-budgeted attack in the same vein as F&F, but the look of the film is every bit as polished and slick. However, instead of Vin Diesel we get Jaz Martin as a young, college-bound guy who falls into the fast-paced world of underground street racing when his older brother eats it at the hands of Kayce…he’s the evil one. By the way, this flick is filled to the brim with fast cars…and strippers. Seriously, you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a stripper in this movie and I mean that in the nicest way possible. The lead character’s girlfriend is a stripper. His mom is a stripper. Heck! If you like furious displays of vehicular fury and strippers then this movie is a win win for you. Now, to be fair, not EVERY female in this movie is a stripper. Hennelly Jimenez, the actress who plays the brilliant mechanic with a heart of gold and a midriff that’s meant to be bared is a real dynamo. Same goes for Paul Logan, who you’ll remember from such Asylum classics as Mega Pirhana and The Terminators. 200 MPH is out on dvd now. Check it out from The Asylum.
